Jhirna Jeep Safari is one of the most exciting experiences inside Jim Corbett National Park. Located on the southern edge of the park, the Jhirna Zone is open to visitors throughout the year and is famous for its diverse wildlife, scenic landscapes, and easy accessibility from Ramnagar.

Entry Gate

Jhirna Gate is located about 16 km from Ramnagar town, easily reachable by car or taxi. Visitors must reach the gate at least 30 minutes before their safari slot for entry formalities.

Day 1: Arrival at Ramnagar

Arrival at Ramnagar (or your designated pickup point) in the morning; transfer to resort/hotel near Corbett.
Check-in & lunch at resort.
Post-lunch, departure for the evening safari in Jhirna Zone (timing approx. 2:30-3:00 pm or 3:00-3:30 pm, depending on season).
Safari duration approx. 3-3.5 hours through the open 4×4 Jeep with naturalist guide.
Return to resort by early evening. Evening at leisure: dinner, bonfire (in winter), and overnight stay.

DAY 02: Early morning safari, breakfast, check-out and drop back to Ramnagar or onward.

Early morning wake-up and depart for the morning safari in Jhirna Zone (approx. 5:30-6:30 am start, depending on season).
After safari, return to resort, breakfast, check-out.
Optional: short nature walk, bird-watching or visit nearby local village/river view (if time allows).
Departure back to Ramnagar for onward journey.

Jhirna forest Lodge

Jhirna forest rest house is with an interior of the southern limit of the Park. The rest house is on the road of Ramnagar to Kalagarh that turns in a East-West direction through the Park. The landscape is drier than in Dhikala and of the vegetation is mainly undergrowth. Jhirna was an agricultural village until 1994, date on which it was moved within the framework of the Tiger project. The hills in the north of Jhirna are covered with dense spots of bamboo. In more d' to be a good habitat for the tiger, the leopard and the stag, the place accommodates the other mammals like interesting sloth bear and the wild boar. A variety of birds can also be appreciated here.
